Information Sheet – Biosecurity and Power Lines
SaskPower is committed to managing potential biosecurity risks associated with invasive species and crop disease. SaskPower Environmental Beneficial Management Practices identify measures to help prevent the spread of invasive species and crop disease by limiting the amount of soil transported from location to location. These practices apply before, during and after construction of power lines.
These measures are based on SaskPower Industry Best Practices. They were developed following consultations with the Ministry of Agriculture and key Agricultural Stakeholder groups.
