Rabid Skunks

The RM of Coalfields has been notified that there has been Rabid Skunks found East of Bienfait.  We have been advised by the Rabies Risk Assessment Veterinarian Dr. Clarence Bischop to avoid any contact with skunks and animals acting abnormally.  Children should also be cautioned about contact with these types of animals.  Some other recommendations include skunk control, and vaccination of dogs, cats and any special livestock like horses.
