The RM of Coalfields has been notified that there has been Rabid Skunks found East of Bienfait.  We have been advised by the Rabies Risk Assessment Veterinarian Dr. Clarence Bischop to avoid any contact with skunks and animals acting abnormally.  Children should also be cautioned about contact with these types of animals.  Some other recommendations…

The local RCMP detachment will be holding a Town Hall Meeting to address any concerns, community policing, and on-going crime prevention.
