Did you know your 293 Exemption expires in a Re-Assessment year?
Yes it’s true! In a re-assessment year, 293 exemptions expire. Since 2025 is a re-assessment year, please notify us of your 293 exemptions. You can download the 293 Exemption Form below and submit it to the RM of Coalfields No.4 by March 3, 2025.

What is a 293 Exemption and whether you qualify?
If you occupy a dwelling in the RM of Coalfields No.4 AND you own, rent, lease land within the RM of Coalfields or adjoining Rural Municipalities, you MAY be eligible for an exemption to reduce all or a portion of the taxable assessment on your principal dwelling as per Section 293 of The Municipalities Act. An exemption can only reduce the residential taxable assessment for one residence only.
